Graco play yards is portable and easy to use. It is also very convenient, even if you have a full size crib at home. It is simple to assemble and does not take up much room. It is equipped with wheels on one side, so it can be moved even if the baby is sleeping. The Graco play yard is nice because it can be taken with you wherever you go. Most are not very heavy and can be carried with little effort. Some babies just need to lie down to take a nap and this type of play pen is made for the babies who need quiet time. If babies are only put into it at nap time, then they probably will associate it with going to sleep. If you do not want your baby to think this, it is advisable to put the baby along with some toys in the play yard a couple of times a day. There are many different styles of play yards. Depending on your budget, you can choose anything from a basic model to one equipped with many different features. A basic model only has a mattress pad so it will be the least costly. Some are equipped with removable bassinets, changing tables, diaper stacker's, and removable canopies. A Newborn Napper is equipped with vibrations in the mattress, music and nature sounds. All can be spot cleaned with mild soap and water. Crib sheets can also be purchased to cover the removable mattress pad. If you choose not to purchase crib sheets, standard sheets can be smoothed over the mattress pad and tucked underneath. It is a good idea to use some type of sheet that can be changed and washed often. A Graco play yard is a very good investment for the baby's 1st year, but there are other brands available that are just as good. The choice is up to you as a parent, and what fits your child's personality. Still a little confused as to whether a Graco Play Yard is appropriate for your baby?
